Our Individual support course (CHC33021) gives you the skills and experience to assist elderly or disabled individuals who require help either in their own residence or aged care/disability service. More adults are requiring assistance to do daily tasks such as personal care, shopping, attending appointments and/or cleaning. When medical student Dinesh Palipana suffered a severe spinal injury in a car crash, he was told his dream of becoming a doctor was over. Now he's Queensland's first quadriplegic doctor, working at one of the state's busiest hospitals. Dr Palipana tells his story in his own words.
