CHC33021 Certificate III Individual Support

In the 2021 Census, 1.46 million people, accounting for 5.8% of Australia's population, reported requiring assistance for core activities like self-care, communication, or mobility. This marked an increase from 1.20 million people (5.1%) in 2016. It's essential to consider the varying age distributions when comparing those needing assistance to those who don't due to the significant link between age and disability. Australia's aging population has seen the proportion of individuals aged 65 and above rise from 15.7% in 2016 to 17.2% in 2021.
